MTF have released a PL to Sony E mount adapter. Can be used with Sony's £600 Nex-3 or Nex-5 cameras or the NEX-VG10  video camera in conjunction with Arri Master Primes that are sensibley priced around £20,000 a lens. Price is yet to be released for the adapter.

You read correctly about £600 camera with a £20k lens.

Finally, the government and planning to outlaw clamping and towing of motor vehicles in England and Wales.

What bugs me, as reported by the BBC:

More than 2,000 existing clamping licences will be revoked as a result, with towing also set to be outlawed, but private firms will still be able to ticket parked cars.

Still be able? The can't even do that today!*

I know I am not a lawyer, but if you do receive a "parking ticket" or "penalty charge notice", or whatever they want to call it, on private land which hasn't come from the police or council just rip up the piece of paper and do not pay.

They are sending you an unsolicited invoice, they cannot 'fine' you in any way. They can, however claim under contractual law, which is totally flawed in itself.

The private companies get your name and address from the DVLA for £2.50 by supplying them with your car registration number, another problem that I believe should be sorted. You may then get follow up letters demanding payment and later court action, again just ignore them. They may even say they have issued you with a County Court Judgment or send round baliffs, again utter nonesence.

Never, ever pay for a parking ticket given to you from a private parking company. It's a scam.

* Well, when I say they can't, they also can. There is nothing in law saying they can or can't. Just take it as can't.
